What you REALLY want to get is a Robomow (http://www.friendlyrobotics.com/). A tad out of your budget but the nerd in you just wants it, doesn’t it?

ray, toro is the way to go for lawnmowers. myself, I use an electric mower which you also might consider. the cord can be a hassle but you are saving several dollars a year on gas and not causing global warming. keep us updated.

The trick is, no matter how small your yard might actually be, get a riding lawn mower. Lazy always wins.

If I were to go lazy, I’d go with what Dan suggested (http://www.friendlyrobotics.com/).
“Robomow. It mows. You don’t.”
