MAME Stuff Received
I recently received quite a bit of stuff or my MAME cabinet.
I bought a wireless keyboard/mouse combo so that I could be free in where I connect to my MAME box. I (hopefully) won’t always need this. Hopefully someday I’ll have a fully working MAME system that is sufficiently controllable from joysticks. I messed around with the combo last night when I received it, and I was having some trouble recognizing the keyboard. I need to work on it some more, I’m sure I’m just doing something wrong.
Also, I bought upgrades for the MAME system. I bought the following for it
AMD AthlonXP 2600+ with retail HSF (replaced AthlonXP 1500+)
Chaintech Mobo (replaced POS ECS)
512MB RAM 1 stick (replaced 256MB)
Antec 350W PSU (replaced 300W POS PSU)
250GB HDD (replaced 60GB HDD)
I’m having a couple problems with these products installed. I need to spend time on it, and hopefully I can get it going with the faster pieces soon.
The old system specs seemed to handle most games OK, but I wanted a system that will also sufficiently play lots of emulated games, besides just MAME I was also thinking N64, PSU and other games of that caliber. Hopefully once it gets going it will all work out.
I’ll post pics when I can.
Edit: Pictures posted.
