Dell 700m
I really want one.
My current laptop is way too hot and broken… I need a new, light-weight (4lb or less compared to 12lb or more), small (12″ compared to 15″), long battery life (5+ hours compared to less than 2 hours) laptop.
I don’t care about being able to play games, that’s what my desktop is for. This is just for work and that which would qualify as “other”.
I’m really considering getting it. I can get a decent one for hopefully around $1,000.
Edit 6/29:
I have purchased this laptop and written a review. You can find the review here.

I can get a new one for $1350 or a used one for ~$950. I’m going used, for sure.

Good to read your comments on the 700M, with links and all. I just bought one on ebay yesterday–$852, with shipping and the “charge,” about $930. All the specs the link had, but 60GB and 512MB. I have not yet received it and hope that it works. If I can find you again I will let you know. Have you read about this “clicking?”
Good Sith pic and I, too, think that Lost is the best show on TV. I am not a big fan of the major networks for like ten years, since Seinfeld. This thing is better than Twin Peaks. Limewire has great downloads for every ep, I am sure they will look good on the 700M, that is, of course, if it works.
Keep up the good work and take care.

I haven’t heard anything about a “clicking”…

Hey, I do have a 700m that I am trying to sell. Nothing is wrong with it, but I just want to get a desktop instead. I bought it without the coupons and stuff for $1000 and now I just wanna sell it for 900 hopefully. I’ll throw in the notebook sleeve that would fit it. Let me know if anybody is interested.
