Broken Camera
Ever since cruise #2, my camera has intermittently gone to a blank display instead of a preview… it’s broke. It’s not a display issue, because everything else looks fine — I can still view pictures on the CF card. It’s definitely a lens issue.
So I’ve been waiting for this camera to die. I paid ~$60 for it and a 1GB card over a year ago. Since this camera takes completely crappy zoomed in pictures of electronics, I want to get a good one, one that can finally take some good pictures. I’ll be keeping my eyes out for some reviews. Any suggestions?

I love my powershot s5 is. If you want something cheaper, the s3 is is very similar; it has a smaller screen, doesn’t support sdhc and videos can’t be as long also, 6mp v 8mp, but still an amazing camera and they’re cheap now that the s5 is out (relatively). If you want a pocket camera, I’m stil partial to canon; the sd series is very nice. If you find an hp one you like, I can check the prices on the employee purchase store (although usually they aren’t that great, sometimes you can get lucky
)

True.
I heard a lot of good things about the Powershot cameras. Compact and I heard they take some good pictures. If you didn’t know already, check out – http://www.dpreview.com. That’s the place to find out the ratings and specs of most cameras. Most of them even show you Sample shots from the camera.
Good Luck. I’m still searching for a new one for myself. I eventually need one that takes better pictures.
