On a new server, testing out the kinks…

Found a deal on a G3 400mhz 128MB ram slot loading blueberry iMac. Something cool is bound to happen, I’ll either upgrade it and put OS X or linux on it, or worst case use it as an aquarium. It’d be a shame though, this system is pretty sweet looking.

Cleveland was a good time. Met my nephew Luke, (almost) broke my uncle Bernie’s rib, visited my pops, shot some guns, saw a really old cemetery, etc. Pretty good time.

The original plan was to take a picture of a particular branch of the cherry tree in my back yard once a day for a year, to observe how it changed. Perhaps to eventually transform into an montage.

Failed for 3 reasons:

1. Not enough difference from day to day. There’s been about 5 weeks now where the images look almost exactly the same.
2. I chose a lame branch. No cherries sprouted out of it.
3. Taking a picture of it at night leads to… less than desirable results. Should try to take pictures of it w/o a flash requirement.

Overall: epic phail

I doubt I’ll try it again, kinda turned off.

The Happening. Worst M. Night Shamylamy movie evar. Yes, I’d say even worse than his last, Lady in the Water. I like Mark Wahlberg, but this is the worst acting I’ve ever seen from him. John Leguizamo–the #2 in this movie–did a much better job.

The “villain” in this movie was the biggest crock of bull I’ve seen since The Core, just the stupidest premise possible. Nobody knew what the enemy was for the majority of the movie, but it turns out to be what some whacko suggests early on. Red flag alert: if you need a crazy person to suggest the plot, it’s not believable.

I kept waiting for some cool revelation, but it never came. Stupid movie.
