Zune
I traded my buddy John his mint PSP that I plan to turn around for a White Microsoft Zune 30GB that I found on my Forums FS/FT Thread Notifier.
This thing is pretty cool. I’m neither a Mac nor M$ fanboi, but in the ~4 hours I spent with the Zune, it looks a lot cooler than my 5th 80gb gen iPod. The interface didn’t feel as smooth, but the fact that it has A/V output and radio was pretty sweet. It’s cheaper than an iPod too, those things (along with all Mac products) are always way overpriced.
At any rate, pretty neat.
Kessa accepted into Master in Teaching Program
Congratulations to my wife Kessa who has recently been accepted into the Master in Teaching Program at Washington State University’s Vancouver branch.
The Master in Teaching (MIT) program at Washington State University Vancouver is an intensive, integrated fifteen- month course of study (54 semester credits) including field experiences that meet the requirements for the State of Washington Residency Teacher Certificate (with K-8 elementary endorsement).
The MIT program was designed for students who hold baccalaureate degrees in fields other than education. A maximum of fifty (50) students are admitted each year. Through a careful screening process, we offer admission to applicants who are not only academically capable but are also especially devoted to the education of children.
Kessa hopes to teach 2nd grade elementary students locally post graduation.
Awesome!
Samsung DLP High Pitched Noise
My Samsung 46″ DLP TV is now making a high pitched squeal after about an hour to 1.5 hours of usage. The only fix is to shut it off. A lot of people are saying that this is caused by the color wheel. When for sale, it looks to be $100-$150 on eBay.
I’ve already had the lamp replaced twice, so I’m starting to think this TV wasn’t such a good deal after all.
Man how annoying.
