Shinza ZeroShock Notebook Sleeve

Thanks to a tip, I purchased a Shinza ZeroShock 12-Inch Notebook Sleeve for my Dell Inspiron 700m.

I bought it on ebay for $31 shipped, and it came a few days later. I was pretty excited to get rid of my enourmous current briefcase-converted-case and try this form fitting case.

At first I was worried, because it looks like it doesn’t fit, but a little force gets the laptop to fit snugly inside the notebook sleeve. The material of which it is composed is very impressive. It can supposedly withstand an iron ball dropping on it, but I wouldn’t test it :P.

I took some pictures.

Pros:
Not a bad price for a notebook case
Seems to amply protect the device
Very small, only slightly larger than the notebook

Cons:
Snug fit, have to apply some force
Often hard to get the zipper all the way around
Stains the laptop?

Overall I would rate the Shinza ZeroShock Notebook Sleeve an 8 thumbs up. (out of 10? Of course you realize that my ratings are completely arbitrary and have no real meaning…)

I created a vacuum cleaner agent for Artificial Intelligence class in Java. I made it an applet. Let me know what you think.

Donating Doughnuts

In an event I can describe as none other than “Donating Doughnuts to Cops”, I apparently have too much money so I decided it was time to do something stupid. I turned right at a red light which had it marked “No Turn On Red”, so I was given a ticket for a whopping $237.

GG ray.

Cheap Food

If you’re a deal person (a.k.a. a cheap person) like myself, you’d appreciate it everytime there’s a coupon available for Restaurant.com listed on slickdeals.net.

Currently listed:

Apply coupon code 39109 at Restaurant.com to receive 60% off gift certificate

This means you pay $10-60% = $4 for a $25 off of $35 gift certificate. Essentially, you order $35 worth of food and pay $14. Last time I did it, 5 of us ate at E-San Thai in downtown Portland, for $36-$25+4 = $15… and the food was delicious!

On another note, going to Jack in the Box, buying a $25 gift card and getting a large combo for free, then paying for everyone else’s food with the gift card is also a good idea :). Their grease-dripping tacos are the best.
