I was looking for a good Usenet downloader for my home computer. In the (distant) past I’ve used Newsbin Pro, but I didn’t really like it that much. That and the fact that it costs money.

So I just picked up my Usenet habit again, and found a really good client. GrabIt is the name, and it’s free. It has plenty of features that I personally appreciate, and it made the process very easy to deal with.

Now if only comcast would increase their retention… currently it’s horrible!

I decided to add a Games category. It will hold PC and XBox games that I am excited about, games I just got, games I hope to get, etc. 10+ games cross my XBoX and PC on a good week, so I will probably post links to reviews for them and just point out which ones I have.

XBOX and PC GAMES are the sub-categories, so the post will be filed under the respective subcategory.

Mozilla FireFox just released v 1.0 “Pre-release” of their browser. They claim 1 million downloads of it in 100 hours.

I switched hosts on the website. Formerly a client of awphosting.com, frequency of downtime had become too much. Thanks a lot to the owner for hosting me for the past 1.5 years, but all good things must come to an end. My new host is webbrew.net.
